Pelindo Resmikan Dermaga Water Taxi Tanjung Benoa, Wujud Komitmen TJSL untuk Komunitas Adat dan Ekowisata Pesisir

Bali, July 24, 2025 - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) through Regional 3 Bali Nusra Sub-Region inaugurated the Water Taxi pier in Tanjung Benoa as part of the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program. This pier is an environmentally friendly sea transportation support facility, as well as a form of support for the indigenous people of Tanjung Benoa in developing the potential of coastal areas.

The inauguration began with the invitations traveling by Water Taxi from Benoa Harbor to Tanjung Benoa. Attending this activity were Jamintel Kejagung RI, Pelindo Investment Director, Director 4 of Intelligence of Kejagung RI, and Kajati Bali. This trip symbolizes the opening of a new sea-based connectivity that is efficient and sustainable.

The inauguration ceremony was marked by a ribbon cutting and bird release as a symbol of the spirit of freedom and hope for the future of inclusive maritime access. The activity was closed with the release of hatchlings on the coast of Tanjung Benoa as a form of commitment to the preservation of the coastal environment.

Executive Director 3 Pelindo, Daru Wicaksono Julianto, said that this pier is a tangible manifestation of Pelindo's commitment to strengthening the company's operational Ring 1 area through the development of Water Taxi services that support connectivity and tourism.

"Through this TJSL program, we want to ensure that development not only touches the infrastructure aspect, but also the direct benefits for local communities. This pier is not just a transportation facility, but a symbol of collaboration, conservation, and economic growth for indigenous peoples," said Daru.

As a form of economic empowerment, Pelindo also distributed business strengthening assistance to five fostered MSMEs in the Tanjung Benoa area through the TJSL MaritimePreneur program. This program is designed to encourage community-based maritime entrepreneurship.
